Assistant Production Manager – Apparel Manufacturing

 

Job Purpose Statement

 

We currently have an exceptional opportunity for an Assistant Production Manager at JP Sportswear’s headquarters in Lynwood, CA.  The role is a support position to the Production Manager in all responsibilities related to apparel production at our facility.  The person taking on this role will have a constantly changing project list with plenty of exposure to learn and grow.

• Type:  full time (Monday – Friday 7am to 4pm)

• Location: Lynwood, CA (headquarters)

• Salary:  commensurate with experience

 

Principal Accountabilities

 

• Support Production Manager in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Effectively communicate with customers about shipping expectations

• Independently order and receive materials for production

• Take on additional responsibilities as needed

 

Skills Required

 

• Apparel manufacturing experience

• Proficient in Office Suite, especially Excel

• Knowledge of spec sheets, yields and fabrics

• Experience in ordering and receiving fabrics and trims

• Experience in FedEx and UPS shipping software

• Fluent in English

• Team player
